Who we are: Initiatives of Change (IofC) is a world-wide movement of people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, who are committed to the transformation of society through changes in human motives and behaviour, starting with their own.
Purpose: We work to inspire, equip and connect people to address world needs, starting with themselves, in the areas of trustbuilding, ethical leadership and sustainable living.
Mike Muikia, who works with IofC in Kenya and is a film maker, has produced a short video 'We Stand With Nepal', aiming to give support and hope to Nepal. IofC friends from more than 20 countries sent him images of people holding placards with hope messages.
From 15 - 17 April Creators of Peace went to Huruma Estate. This is the 4th workshop in the informal settlements of Nairobi. Like most informal settlements the basic services like water, sewage, road access, and toilets are inadequate and sometimes non-existent.
One week before national elections, the iREP International Documentary Film Festival invited Dr Alan Channer, Director of IofC’s FLTfilms, to Nigeria, to give the keynote speech on ‘Documentary Film and Conflict Resolution’.
