IofC in Brief

Who we are: Initiatives of Change (IofC) is a world-wide movement of people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, who are committed to the transformation of society through changes in human motives and behaviour, starting with their own.

The visitors were welcomed at the Parliament of White Nile State with dancing by the Fellata community, who are of Nigerian Hausa origin

Purpose: We work to inspire, equip and connect people to address world needs, starting with themselves, in the areas of trustbuilding, ethical leadership and sustainable living.

1st Eastern Africa Youth Conference

We are excited to inform you that the planning for the 2nd EAYC to be held in Uganda in February 2012 is at an advanced stage! The theme for the conference will be 'Youths for Peace: Together Making it Happen' and it will be held at the Pope Paul Memorial Centre, Kampala, 7 - 12 February 2012. We will be glad to share in your company as we pursue ways of creating lasting peace within the region.

Attached is the application form for the forum. Please circulate to young peace ambassadors and change-makers. We are targetting 90 delegates in total - 10 from each of the countries in the Eastern Africa Bloc, namely Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan and North Sudan. The actual conference fee per delegate will be Ush 600,000 Uganda shillings or USD 220 (for meals and accommodation).
