Who we are: Initiatives of Change (IofC) is a world-wide movement of people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, who are committed to the transformation of society through changes in human motives and behaviour, starting with their own.

The visitors were welcomed at the Parliament of White Nile State with dancing by the Fellata community, who are of Nigerian Hausa origin

Purpose: We work to inspire, equip and connect people to address world needs, starting with themselves, in the areas of trustbuilding, ethical leadership and sustainable living.

Mike Muikia, who works with IofC in Kenya and is a film maker, has produced a short video 'We Stand With Nepal', aiming to give support and hope to Nepal. IofC friends from more than 20 countries sent him images of people holding placards with hope messages.

I have a couple of friends in Nepal and I was deeply moved to do something for the survivors after the devastating earthquake. Immediately the earthquake happened I wrote to my Nepalese friends to know whether they and their families were safe. When the number of deaths started rising I asked myself what can the world do to give hope to this Nation and I thought - as a film maker I could produce a short video with messages of hope, thus the song 'We Stand With Nepal' was created in Juja, Central Kenya.

Message of hope for Nepal from Chile I wrote to some IofC friends from more than 20 countries who sent me images of people holding placards with hope messages. And I was overwhelmed to get more than 400 images, including those from non-IofC friends. I'd consider this video a collective effort by global IofC friends.

I hope this video can be used by people and organisations of goodwill to fundraise for Nepal.
