The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child says every child has the right to participation, and that life should be inclusive for even the most marginalized. CATS 2017 gives children experiencing that exclusion a voice. It is a platform to inspire others, to share their difficulties, to tackle obstacles, to promote inclusion, and to show how children are essential to creating a better world. This year we’re welcoming a really diverse group of people, which will include street children, children with disabilities, and children from war zones, to create a unique space where adults including parents, teachers, advocates, and policymakers can meet them. Together they will take positive steps to transform society.

The ground-breaking discussions at the Caux Dialogue on Land and Security 2017 aim to uncover new ideas to restore land and build trust, increase private investment, reduce the risk of conflict, lower the impact of climate change, and create new markets.

The focus of 2017 deliberations will be capacity building and training for IofC teams, report back from the ACG and election of new members to the ACG.

There has been capaity training given to Anglophone youth involved with IofC across the African continent that the Francophone felt excluded. This training is the first ever given.

Creators of Peace (CoP) Facilitators training for Francophone countries. Following a training of facilitators in South Africa in 2014, CoP is increasingly gaining ground in many French speaking countries including Burundi, Mali, Ivory Coast, Rwanda and Cameroun to name a few. The event is to strengthen the programme and its outreach.

Change in Progress is a young people's movement encouraging development by embracing faith and hope in own ability to change circumstances faced daily, through camps, workshops, trainings, mentoring, coaching, meetings and campaigns.The camping programme is divided into two parts, theory at the camp site for five days and practical’s in the community and NGO’s of Soweto for three days then end with a graduations ceremony, whom the key note address will be from Dr Lillian Cingo, founder of the Philophepha train. The camp event is then followed by three months of individual and group mentoring.

The Caux Scholars Program-Asia Plateau (CSP-AP) is a three-week programme held in Panchgani, India. It invites youth leaders, community organizers, and scholars from different countries and cultural backgrounds to learn and experience the integration of sustainable development and peacebuilding. The application deadline is August 26, 2016.
