Who we are: Initiatives of Change (IofC) is a world-wide movement of people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, who are committed to the transformation of society through changes in human motives and behaviour, starting with their own.
Purpose: We work to inspire, equip and connect people to address world needs, starting with themselves, in the areas of trustbuilding, ethical leadership and sustainable living.
As we begin the 25th anniversary conference for Creators of Peace at Caux, 6 women from our global network from Australia, Burundi, Fiji, Norway, Switzerland and Syria will share their reflections on what a 'living peace' means to them. Bek Brown, a member of the Conference Organising Committee, begins by sharing her thoughts on what will make this week of ‘living peace’ so special.
Caux Scholars Program-Asia Plateau (CSP-AP) is a three-week program held in one of our IofC centers in Panchgani, India. It invites youth leaders, community organizers, and scholars from different countries and cultural backgrounds to learn and experience the integration of sustainable development and peacebuilding.
With extremism of all kinds on the rise, it is important to ask why this is happening. Extremism in its most negative form is impacting our sense of safety and challenging our beliefs about what is right as well as who is right.
