After Action for Life 5, a leadership training programme for young people, I committed to working together with the Kenya IofC team, to eradicate negative ethnicity. This was a call to action in Eldoret, one of the major towns in Kenya. After five months of preparations Creators of Peace Eldoret was launched .

Seven women from different denominations met every Saturday in the Huruma church from 22 October 22 to 12 November.

‘I had never forgiven my husband since he denied me as his wife during the post election violence as I belonged to the another tribe. I had to seek deeply in my heart since he was the father of my children. I have learnt of the power of forgiveness and decided to let go and let God.' one of the participants shared towards the end of the session about the power of forgiveness.

The sessions were very interesting as the women opened up quickly to each other as they shared what it takes to become a peace creator.

Now that we know what it takes to be a peace creator, we are going to share it with many other women. As Mother Teresa stated; ‘If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.'

Juliana Nakhumicha and Mediatrix Masava facilitated the programme.
