Who we are: Initiatives of Change (IofC) is a world-wide movement of people of diverse cultures and backgrounds, who are committed to the transformation of society through changes in human motives and behaviour, starting with their own.

The visitors were welcomed at the Parliament of White Nile State with dancing by the Fellata community, who are of Nigerian Hausa origin

Purpose: We work to inspire, equip and connect people to address world needs, starting with themselves, in the areas of trustbuilding, ethical leadership and sustainable living.

Change in Progress camp Soweto in South Africa

Change in Progress is a young people's movement encouraging development by embracing faith and hope in own ability to change circumstances faced daily, through camps, workshops, trainings, mentoring, coaching, meetings and campaigns.The camping programme is divided into two parts, theory at the camp site for five days and practical’s in the community and NGO’s of Soweto for three days then end with a graduations ceremony, whom the key note address will be from Dr Lillian Cingo, founder of the Philophepha train. The camp event is then followed by three months of individual and group mentoring.

The vision is to motivate and empower youth towards individual change while caring and serving society in order to create a better future for all. We explore change and have safe space to dialog about uncomfortable issues stopping us to initiate positive changes in our lives and communities. Also start the Healing journey from generational and current wounds as means to preserve our proud identity as South Africans.The programme is divided into two parts, theory at the camp site for five days and practical’s in the community and NGO’s of Soweto for three days then end with a graduations ceremony, whom the key note address will be from Dr Lillian Cingo, founder of the Philophepha train.The sessions include; morning reflections, panel of discussion on main themes i.e: [who am I?, family and history, entrepreneurship, ethical leadership], team building, motivational talks, excursion, community work. All this towards development of skills such as communication, self-concepts, behavioural analysis, peace building, environmental awareness, decision making, self introspection, leadership, presentation skills, morals/ values, conflict resolution and serving one another.
