Jean Brown is British born married to an Australian and with two adult children. Their home is in South Australia, though for much of the past 5 years they have been based at Asia Plateau, the IofC centre in Panchgani, India. Of her 42 years spent working in a full time capacity with Initiatives of Change, 11 have been in India and 5 in the USA. In recent years she has been particularly engaged in assisting with programmes for young people in Australia and Asia and in the development of the IofC programme, Creators of Peace Circles. She is the author of various articles and the booklet "A Serious Guide to Remaking the World".
