On the 15 August, at the International Peace Initiative’s offices a group of 16 women were brought together , who had been picked randomly from four different groups that had undergone Creators of Peace training between the years 2011 and 2014.A memorable moment of interacting with women from Meru county during a one-day follow up.

For the Sake of Peace DVD

Watch a trailer featuring the apology by women from the Pokot community to other communities in Baringo County. The official launch of the documentary shall be on the 13th November 2015 in Kabarnet. For the sake of peace is a 16 minute documentary inspired by the work of Creators of Peace Circles Kenya. It features the Pokot women making an apology to the Tugen and Illchamus women who have suffered the atrocities caused by the actions of some people from the Pokot community. For the sake of peace is a tool for reaching out and spreading the message of hope, courage, forgiveness, reconciliation and peace to the people of Baringo as well as to other communities facing the same challenges. The event shall also be the official launch of the Creators of Peace Baringo project - a major programme aiming at reaching the heart of Baringo county with the message and tools for restoring peace and encouraging reconciliation among the communities living in that region.

The Bungoma County Creators of Peace (CoP) follow-up meeting was held on 8 August. In the early days, Bungoma town was originally a meeting place of elders and whenever the sound of drums would emanate from the area, a meeting would assemble. When the CoP drums sounded, seven women came to share how their lives had been impacted by the CoP training they participated in last year.

Creators of Peace team in Kenya had the honour to be among the invited guests for official closing event for the 'Champions walk for peace' which brought together 25 top athletes who walked for 22 days and covered 823kms across seven counties in the troubled North Rift Kenya.

A Creators of Peace (CoP) follow up in Mombasa County took place on 25 July in Tuda. Nineteen women from two previous training events came together to share on how life has been since they went through Peace Circles training. This was a very interactive meeting where all participants made their contributions with so much passion and joy.

The second episode of 'Belief,' to be aired by OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) on 19 October, features a segment on Imam Muhammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye. Entitled, 'Love's story', it takes the viewer on 'a journey around the world in search of what it means to love one another'. The episode ends with the story of 'two leaders in Nigeria who... come together to reconcile and to honor one of the most sacred teachings at the heart of both their faiths: love your enemies'.

Watch a five minutes clip 'A Call for peace in Baringo County' featuring an apology by the Pokot women to the Illchamus and Tugen communities on behalf of their community for atrocities caused. The apology was as a result of Peace Circles trainings in the region. A full documentary on the same is underway.

But we thank God now because what Creators of Peace taught us has changed this negative ideology.’ This was a comment by one of the 14 women who participated in the Creators of Peace (CoP) follow up meeting that took place on 11 July, 2015 at Ololulunga center, Narok County.
