Change in Progress (CiP), is a leadership and self-awareness programme, with the aim of grooming youth to have changed hearts and minds that will embrace a future based on responsible choices, sustainability and Ubuntu. The CiP camp took place from the 30 November - 11 December, 2014 at Rocky Valley Christian camp site, Krugersdorp, South Africa.

‘When women are united, we can have peace, year in and year out,’ said one of the 16 women of Bungoma County who gathered at Generations Hotel for a Creators of Peace Circles (CoPC) workshop from 8-10 October. This was the first time that the CoPC training took place in Bungoma and it happened to be the last of the 21 Creators of Peace Circles training that took place in Kenya this year.

On September 24- 26, 18 women eager to learn and participate in matters of peace building, most of them from the Maasai community, took part in Creators of Peace Circles which were held in Ololulung, a small town in Narok county- the native land for the Maasai people of Kenya.

On the 6 August, 2014, more than 30 young people participated in an environmental cleaning exercise, from 7am to noon at the Catholic School, Great Soppo Buea. The exercise was done under the auspices of IofC Cameroon. It was an activity that focused on awakening young Cameroonians to positively work towards a morally upright society and an effective governing system by taking initiatives impacting on themselves and their environment.

‘For the three days that I have been here, I have learnt that there is no alternative to forgiveness, in fact forgiveness is the only thing. The workshop has taught me that holding grudges is like welcoming someone I hate to have a free ride in my house at my expense.’ These were the remarks made by Margaret after participating in the Creators of Peace Circles in Nandi Hills South from 11-13 September bringing together 18 women.

During the 2007/2008 post election upheavels, Kisumu was marred by violence destroying lives and properties. Many souls have been left wounded and with great pain. Fifteen women from the area, many of them survivors and victims of the post election violence, came together to have a piece of the Creators of Peace Circles cake.

Creators of Peace was invited to Kakamega, Vihiga County as from 13-15 August, 2014 to run a Peace Circles for eighteen women who were interested to know how to become peace creators. The invitation and preparations were made by Florence Kangai, who was impressed and touched by Peace Circles training that had taken place in Eldoret. She was convinced in her heart that women from her village should also get an opportunity to experience how to be a peace creator.
